Bonerge Lifescience announced a new clinical study evaluating EquoYouth®, its branded S-equol ingredient, for its potential to ease menopausal symptoms and support women through the menopausal transition — without the use of hormones.

This exploratory study marks the first stage of Bonerge’s broader clinical research program for EquoYouth®. Once complete, the company plans to move into a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial to further confirm the ingredient’s efficacy and safety profile.

Why S-Equol Matters for Menopause Support

S-equol is a metabolite the body produces when gut bacteria convert soy isoflavones — but not every woman’s microbiome can make that conversion. Research suggests only about a third to half of women in Western populations naturally produce equol, leaving a large group of “non-producers” without access to its benefits through diet alone.
