A working session where VSOs and funders shape what Transcend should correlate with veteran wellbeing, to guide support, prove impact, and fund resources.
PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA, INDIA, October 29, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — John Starling, an Air Force veteran and founder and CEO of Pietential®, will host a live, virtual Veteran Wellbeing Analytics Workshop on November 12, 2026, from noon to 1:00 p.m. ET.
The working session is designed for VSO leaders and program teams, veterans, veteran advocates, funders and grantmakers, government partners, researchers, evaluators, and community partners.
Veteran-serving organizations collect substantial information about their programs, services, and the people they serve, and report it to boards and funders. What is missing is a shared understanding of which organizational measures matter most, and how they are driven by changes in veteran wellbeing over time.
Without that shared understanding, it is hard for VSOs to see where veterans most need support, to prove program impact and efficacy, or to make the case for funding and resources with confidence. The data exists. What has been missing is a way to read it against veteran wellbeing and turn it into decisions.
Pietential objectively quantifies changes in holistic wellbeing, correlates them to organizational KPIs, and extrapolates those findings to downstream financial outcomes. The purpose of the November workshop is to work with veteran-serving communities to identify the organizational KPIs that should be examined alongside that wellbeing data.
Making the right connections could help VSOs strengthen decision-making and reporting, give funders and government partners greater confidence in program impact and, ultimately, increase their capacity to fulfill their missions and help the veterans they serve.
“We don’t want to decide for the veteran-serving community which measures matter most,” Starling said. We want to work through that with the people who know this ecosystem firsthand. When Transcend, Pietential’s Applied Wellbeing Risk Intelligence layer, reads wellbeing against the measures they actually use, it can surface where outcomes are heading early enough for VSOs to act, see where veterans need support, prove their impact, and make a stronger case to the funders who sustain the work.
The workshop will explore:
1. which outcomes and KPIs best show where veterans need support and whether they are doing better;
2. what evidence helps organizations, funders and government partners evaluate program efficacy; and
3. which program, organizational and funding measures should be examined alongside changes in veteran wellbeing.
4. Registrants will receive a short pre-workshop survey asking what their organizations measure today, which outcomes matter most, and what information they wish they had. Their responses will help shape the 60-minute working session.
The workshop continues a conversation Pietential began at its recent Quantifying Veteran Wellbeing event with Starling and Dr. Steven Crane, a Marine veteran who experienced homelessness and went on to become a veteran advocate, entrepreneur, and scholar. Attendance at that event is not required; the recording is available on demand here:

Workshop input will also inform Transcend™, Pietential’s Applied Wellbeing Risk Intelligence layer. Transcend helps leaders interpret wellbeing data, recognize emerging risks, examine relationships between wellbeing and organizational KPIs, and connect those findings to downstream financial outcomes.
Attendance is limited to keep the discussion focused. Request a seat at:
